Karen Jurkowich is no stranger to this area, having moved to Pensacola Beach in 1987 with her husband. They now reside in Gulf Breeze and are both active members of the community. Karen obtained her real estate license in 2003, and she is now a member of the Pensacola Association of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Rigorous training with the Floyd Wickman Team has given Karen the designation of Master Sales Professional which only 1% of top Realtors have obtained. Karen received a B.S. degree in Management Science and Law from Cal Poly University in Pomona, California, and she has worked in the fields of communications, human resources, and chemical dependency. She later went on to become the senior ranking woman out of 1,400 employees at a major defense-contractor plant.
In addition to being such an accomplished REALTOR®, she is also very involved in the community. She is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce. Karen served as chairman of the board of directors of National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence of North Florida (NCADDNFL) for many years, is an active member of Pensacola Beach Optimist Club, a club that focuses on community service, and was named 2008 Volunteer of the Year by the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she produces and directs Joy For the Beach - a holiday concert she created in 2004 to bring joy to the community she serves. She has even found time to direct the church choir on Pensacola Beach every Sunday since 1990.
